I’m sure you’ve heard about the shortage of protective gear for medical workers and first responders, by now, right? The CDC is telling them to reuse dirty masks or even use a scarf or bandana, when they run out of unused masks. They are going through an incredible number of surgical masks. N95 dust masks will work for them, when surgical masks aren’t available. They also need eye protection, protective clothing, etc.
I know there are businesses and individuals in every community who have gear they can spare. We just donated EVL Skis’ supply of Tyvek jumpsuits, hoods and boot covers to the Ellicottville Great Valley Ambulance Co. It wasn’t a lot, but they were really glad to get it.
EVL Skis is challenging folks to support their local first responders and healthcare professionals by donating new and unused protective gear.
We (me and Wade) are willing to drive and pick up any donations in our area – to schedule a pickup, call or text me at 716-550-1215. We will be delivering donations to the ambulance company, unless we get so many that we can make a difference on a bigger scale. We will contact the county Office of Emergency Management, at that point.
Can you guys donate any gear?
Can you pass the word to your networks?
